B.I.T.E. The Body Image Transformation Experience®

WORKSHOP II: TRANSFORMING MY BODY MY SELF

See Available Dates

"Now I See How To Get Beyond My 'Fat' Head!?" We learn about our bodies through movement. Workshop II combines innovative group therapy techniques with body-oriented therapy. Participants engage in in-depth body image work through discussion, drawing (no artistic experience needed!) and gentle movement.

The workshop will help participants to:
  • Free themselves from feeling and seeing themselves in old constricting misperceptions of themselves and their body size, and discard negative self-images.
  • Reconnect with their bodies in a positive way through movement. (Those who haven't moved for years will be surprised how powerful this can be).
  • Practice how to be comfortable in their bodies before they actually achieve their goal.
  • Embrace their appearance as it is now and also come to terms with 'the new evolving you' both inside and out.

Action may need to precede full understanding. The goal is synchronization of inner and outer progress toward change.
