Dear Colleague:

The Overweight, Disordered Eating patient (ODE) presents unique and multifaceted clinical challenges for both the clinician and for patient themselves. The concept of a Patient Mentoring Group is unique in that it allows me to utilize the best techniques of psychotherapist, coach and mentor. This combination is an empowering and transformational experience with patients, which has results. The B.I.T.E.® method works best in full collaboration with existing treatment practitioners.

In the Fall, 2008, I am offering a group designed for patients who have eating, weight regulation, and body image issues. It's called B.I.T.E.® Mentoring Group (The Body Image Transformation Experience). The B.I.T.E.® method is a treatment model especially designed to tackle patient's ability to withstand the necessary changes required to break the barrier of "stuckness". These methods move them past the "tipping point" to transcend their circular arguments to achieve weight regulation. The Mentoring Group integrates the "outside" what patient's know, with "inside" what they feel, towards action, achieving the goal of getting to what they want.

Please feel free to call me at 212.362.6019 with questions regarding the appropriateness of referrals. I look forward to our potential collaboration.

Best regards,
